

An effective action is being taken to prevent illicit trade under the law supervised by the Anti-Illegal Trade Steering Committee.
A combined inspection team led by on-duty custom team seized seven vehicles which are imported without compliance with the rules and regulations at Myanmar Port Container checkpoint on 5 August. Two vehicles which are without license were seized by the Myanmar Police Force on 5 and 6 August in Kanbalu and Sagaing townships. At Mayanchaung permanent checkpoint on 6 August, a combined team found Ceiling Boards which are carried more than declaration ID on a truck, which is driven from Myawady to Yangon, a Nissan Diesel Tractor Head, They found vegetable oils on an express bus which is driven from Myawady to Mandalay without official documents and a Sunlong vehicle which is carrying illegal goods.
Also, the team searched found vegetable oil without official documents on an express which is driven from Mawlamyine to Yangon and an Anhui Ankai vehicle which is carrying the goods. Under the supervision of the Anti-Illegal task force of Bago region, the Myanmar Police Force seized two Toyota Probox Succeed vehicles at mileposts No (6/3) and (6/4) on Yangon-Mawlamyine highway near Thabyekan village in Kawa (က၀) township on 7 August.
So, a total of 18 cases (estimated value of 330.27 million Kyats) were taken action from 5 to 7 August, according to the Anti-illegal Trade Steering Committee.
