Humanitarian Assistance: 6th meeting of Myanmar Task Force

The 6th Meeting of the Task Force to facilitate the provision of Humanitarian Assistance to Myanmar through the AHA Centre (ASEAN Coordinating Centre for Humanitarian Assistance on Disaster Management) was held.

The Meeting at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Nay Pyi Taw was chaired by Union Minister for International Cooperation and Chairman of the Task Force U Ko Ko Hlaing.

The Meeting was also attended by Vice Chairpersons of the Task Force Union Minister for Health Dr. Thet Khaing Win and Union Minister for Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement Dr. Thet Thet Khaing and members of the Task Force.

During the Meeting, Chairman of the Task Force led the discussions on matters related to the convening of Consultative Meeting for provision of humanitarian assistance in phase 2 as well as distribution of humanitarian assistance to the people in need across the country.

The Task Force Vice Chairpersons, Union Ministers and members also exchanged views on the preparation for swift and smooth implementation of the provision of humanitarian assistance for Phase-2.
