Human Resources Issues: Dy Minister inspects preparations at institute, universities

Deputy Minister for Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation Dr. Aung Gyi on Monday visited the Pyinmana Institute of Agriculture and inspected preparations for reopening of classes including enrolment for the 2022-2023 Academic Year, dormitories and buildings repair and maintenance works.

There, he stressed that human resource development activities are being encouraged and promoted from all angles as the best investment. As the country has large neighboring markets, it needs skilled human resources for the high production of the agricultural and livestock sector and the development of good quality products, he added. And, the Deputy Minister viewed the repair works to a building built in 1925 and maintenance works to a building built in 1923. He also inspected the livestock farming activities of the Institute.

Also, the Deputy Minister visited the Yezin Agricultural University and the University of Veterinary Science, heard report on preparations for reopening of classes including enrolment for the 2022-2023 Academic Year and dormitories, and gave necessary instructions.

There, he also urged the students to study and work hard to become good leaders in the agriculture and livestock sector by also participating in social issues as extracurricular activities. And, the Deputy Minister inspected enrolment process for the 1st year classes and dormitories before holding talks with students for the 1st year classes.
