Human Resource Development: Government Technical Institute (Kyauk Phyu) opened

The Government Technical Institute (Kyaukphyu) under the Department of Technical and Vocational Education and Training of Ministry of Science and Technology was inaugurated in Kyauk Phyu Township, Rakhine State on Wednesday.

It was opened with the aim for the students from all regions and states to learn the engineering technology subjects and for the human resource development of the region.  

Dr. Aung Mon, Principal, Kyaukphyu (GTI) said "Currently, Civil, EP, Mechanical and IT subjects are being conducted at Kyaukphyu (GTI) and there are 56 teachers with over 570 students. The institute is opening regular training courses for technology and training courses for regional development and human resource development for the benefits of Rakhine State. "

Awarding ceremony was held in conjunction with opening ceremony of the Institute to honour outstanding students and their excellent performances.

San Raing Oo, First Year Student said "I am very proud of opening the Government Technical Institute in Kyauk Phyu of Rakhine State and it’s convenience for me to attend the school. I chose this institute to become a good engineer for the country.  "

The civil engineering, electrical power engineering and mechanical engineering subjects and 4-year B.Tech course are being conducted at the Government Technical Institute (Kyaukphyu).
