Htamane-Making Competition: Staff members in Nay Pyi Taw enjoy the festival

Various ministries in Nay Pyi Taw organized the Htamane Making Competition on Thursday. Staff members took part proudly and joyfully in the festival.

Htamaneè Festival has been well-known by all Myanmar people among the twelve seasonal festivals in Myanmar. The Festival is a symbolic image of the month of Tabodwe. As a lovely and joyful traditional custom, the Myanmar traditional Htamane Making competition has been held annually to preserve this heritage.

By distributing htamane to relatives and friends as a nutritious food and as a form of medicinal nourishment, promoting health and balance of the four elements, merit is gained through this act of generosity. As the Myanmar traditional htamane-making competition is also an event that symbolizes unity and harmony through collective participation across departments.

Then, the Union Minister and party viewed the participants competing in the festival, in accordance with the established rules and regulations.
