



The Ministry of Cooperatives and Rural Development honoured offspring of the Ministry’s staff who excelled in 2021-2022 academic year and provided stipend for 2022-2023 academic year on Thursday.
At the event, Union Minister for Cooperatives and Rural Development U Hla Moe said that there were 180 students who took the matriculation exam and among them, 125 students passed the exam and the passing rate is 69%.58 students passed the exam at ordinary level and 67 students passed with flying colours.
He called on the students to be outstanding ones while trying hard in learning and having mutual respect for each other with a family spirit. Later, the Union Minister and wife presented honoraria and certificates of honour to 2 students who passed the matriculation exam with 6 distinctions.
The Deputy Minister and officials presented honoraria for the students and provided cash assistance for the school uniforms and text books.
At the event, 17 million kyats were awarded for the students who passed the exam at ordinary level and with flying colours and over 76.5 million kyats were provided for school uniforms and text books for 2022-2023 academic year.
