Honouring Ceremonies: Winning Champion Trophy And Impromtu Contest

A ceremony was held on Wednesday in Dawei of Tanintharyi Region to honour the regional Women’s Cycling Team for winning the Champion Trophy in the region/state cycling competition. In the ceremony at the regional government office, Chief Minister U Myat Ko praised the team and said the Region produces outsanding track and field and cycling athletes for the country.

He also urged the concerned officials and athletes to sustain the success. The ceremony continued with presenting cash award of 3 million Kyats to the Women’s Cycling Team. It’s learnt that in the year of 2022, Tanintharyi Region earned 3 gold, 1 silver and 1 bronze prizes, and this is the 2nd Champion Trophy it won in the the region/state cycling competitions.

Also, in commemoration of the 75th anniversary Diamond Jubilee Union Day, Impromtu Contest was held at No.3 Basic Education High School in Dawei of Taninthayi Region on 9th February. Chief Minister U Myat Ko and officials encouraged the students, competing for the contest. The Chief Minister and officials also presented prizes to the winners of Essay, Impromtu, Poem, Article and Painting Contests.
