









A ceremony to honor the Myanmar ISPE (Men) Football Team from the Institute of Sports and Physical Education under the Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs, which won the championship trophy in the Tri-Nation Invitational Football Tournament was held at the Union Hall of the Institute of Sports and Physical Education (Yangon) in Tamwe Township, Yangon Region, on 20th October. The Chairman of the Myanmar Olympic Committee, Union Minister for the Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs and the Ministry of Hotels and Tourism, Jeng Phang Naw Taung, attended and delivered the opening address.
In his opening address, the Union Minister stated that the honoring ceremony was being held because the Myanmar ISPE Men Football Team, representing Myanmar, had won the championship trophy in the Tri-Nation Invitational Friendship Youth Men Football Tournament held in Jinghong City, Yunnan Province, People's Republic of China, upon invitation by the China-Myanmar Friendship and Development Association. He urged the team to continue striving to become Myanmar national selections relied upon by country.
Subsequently, the Union Minister presented honorary cash awards of 20 million Kyats to the Myanmar ISPE men Football Team, which won the championship trophy in the Tri-Nation Invitational Football Tournament. The Myanmar Football Federation awarded 10 million Kyats, and the Chairman of the Myanmar Rowing Federation awarded 1 million Kyats.
Following this, athlete Kyaw Thiha Zaw, on behalf of the Myanmar ISPE Men Football Team, delivered a speech of thanks. The championship trophy was then presented back to the Union Minister, a group photo was taken, and the ceremony was concluded.
Afterwards, the Union Minister and officials inspected the lunchtime meal service for trainees at the Institute of Sports and Physical Education canteen. He instructed the responsible officials to cook and serve clean, fresh meat and fish to ensure nutritional adequacy.
Later, the Union Minister inspected the National Sports Stadium (1) Thuwunna intended for the training camps of various sports teams preparing to compete in the 33rd Southeast Asian Games and the construction of the high-level sports hall within the Navarat Sports Ground in Shwepyithar Township, in Yangon. The Union Minister then proceeded to the Myanmar Rowing Federation to inspect the competition boats that will be used in the 33rd SEA Games. After observing the training sessions of athletes in their respective sports, he met with coaches/instructors and athletes. He encouraged and urged them to train with all their might and strength to achieve success in the upcoming 33rd Southeast Asian Games.
