The annual Ganesha Chaturthi festival in Mumbai is a grand spectacle of devotion and celebration. Every year, thousands of beautifully adorned Ganesha idols, ranging in sizes from one feet to forty five feet, are carried through the city's vibrant streets, accompanied by lively music and enthusiastic devotees dancing to the beats.

The sight of these idols being immersed in the Arabian Sea, bidding farewell to Lord Ganesha, is a moving and spiritual experience. It's a time when the city comes alive with colour, energy, and a profound sense of unity.  The devotee at the festival said they have been distributing drinking water to devotees for the last 60 years.

This social cause was started by his great grandfather with a single small tank of water. This cause has grown slowly with many tanks of water now being distributed for free to tired devotees. They arrange fresh water from the society and the municipality, filter it and then distribute.
