Healthcare Services in Naungcho : Health education, disease prevention, and immunization

The Ministry of Health has resumed essential healthcare services in Naungcho Township of northern Shan State, through 24 rural health centers. Services include health education, disease prevention, and immunization programs especially targeting children under 15.

From July 25 to September 6, over 12,000 students from 76 schools received health checks and education. Around 2,400 local residents also received necessary healthcare services. A total of 12,097 children under 15 were vaccinated under various immunization programs including measles, polio, Japanese encephalitis, and other preventable diseases.

The temporary hospital at Mya Nan Taw Win Hall started on July 20, and the Naungcho Public Hospital officially reopened on August 2, providing regular and emergency medical treatments. During this time, 3,450 out-patients and 378 in-patients were treated.
