Healthcare Sector: Union Minister Inspects Food and Drug Administration

Union Minister for Health Dr. Thet Khaing Win inspected construction of the Food and Drug Administration Department (Yangon Branch) in Mingaladon Township.

There, he heard reports on establishment of the Department and tasks to be undertaken upon completion of the construction and stressed quality and timely completion of the construction, international standard laboratory tests and accommodation for officers and staff.

The Food and Drug Administration Department (Yangon Branch) consists of an international standard laboratory building, training center and staff housings. Upon completion, the Department will test drinking water, cooking oil, beans and pulses, foodstuffs, medicines and cosmetic products.
