Health Sector: MOH Union Minister tours in Shan State (South)

Union Minister for Health Professor Dr Thet Khaing Win visited the People's Hospital in Kalaw of Shan State (South) on Thursday. He met with the Medical Superintendent, specialists, nurses and health staff and urged all to strive for providing better services to the public.

Officials reported on the work undertakings and the Union Minister gave instruction. He then comforted the patients and provided assistance.

The Union Minister and party later proceeded to Nyaung Shwe and inspected the Khaungdai Rural Health Department. He also met with the health staff and viewed the health care services and vaccination process. They then inspected the chosen site for construction of Lin Kin Station Hospital and staff housing in Phwe Zin Taung Village. At Nyaung Shwe People's Hospital, the Union Minister heard reports on work undertakings and toured the hospital wards.
