Hangzhou welcomes 1st electric ferry ahead of Asian Games

Hangzhou, the eastern China city to host the upcoming 19th Asian Games, is ready to put its first new energy public ferry into service that will be providing waterborne transportation during the sports event.

This environment-friendly vessel "Guijin" will soon be operational on Hangzhou's Water Bus Line 2.  The "Guijin" ferry is powered by advanced lithium batteries, boasting an impressive endurance of up to six hours.  

The electric ferry is undergoing meticulous testing and trial runs. Before the opening of the Asian Games, "Guijin" and six other green energy vessels will be gradually integrated into the operation map of four water bus routes in the provincial capital of Zhejiang Province.
