Greening Tasks: Yangon Mayor Inspects Greening And Beautifying Tasks

The Department for Gardens and Playgrounds under the Yangon City Development Committee (YCDC) is carrying out greening and cleaning tasks in the city.

On 9th February, YCDC Chairman Mayor U Bo Htay and officials inspected leveling of roadsides and construction of embankment, planting grass and painting walls of school compound in Sanchaung Township.

They also inspected clearing the tree branches and bushes and land preparation for planting grass in Kamayut Township. The Mayor instructed to work for proper drainage system, connecting pipelines for watering the grass lawns and beautifying along the main road.

They later inspected the construction of retaining wall at Inya Lake and greening tasks at the entrance of Yangon International Airport. The Mayor and party also inspected the Spillway of Mingala Lake on KhaYayPin Road of Mingaladon Township, construction of water storage tank and inflow canals and land preparation for pedestrian lanes.
