Greening Environ: SAC Chairman Joins The Monsoon Tree Planting Ceremony

2022 monsoon tree planting ceremony was held in Dekkhina Thiri Township in Nay Pyi Taw Union Territory on Thursday.
Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing attended the ceremony and gave a speech, saying that over 30 million saplings are planned to grow across the country during monsoon, and the target has reached at the end of July.
He urged all to make efforts for thriving of the planted saplings in a long run. The tree planting ceremonies have been taken place along the entrance road to Mara Vijaya Buddha Image, the World largest stone sculpture pagoda, for the pilgrim to pay homage the Buddha image in a greenish and pleasant environ. This is the fourth time ceremony of planting trees in the vicinity of the pagoda.
Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing and SAC Vice Chairman Deputy Prime Minister Vice Senior General Soe Win later planted GantGaw saplings. It was followed by planting of saplings along the roadside by the SAC members, Secretary, Joint Secretary, Union level officials and invited guests as well as the departmental personnel, staff and students from the University of Forestry and Environmental Science and basic education high schools. A total of 776 saplings including Gantgaw, Star flower and Gold Mohur were planted during the ceremony.
