Greening Activity: Tree planting along Yangon-Mandalay road

A tree planting ceremony was held along both sides of the Yangon-Mandalay Old Highway in Myittha Township of Kyaukse District in Mandalay Region on Friday.

Union Minister for Construction U Myo Thant attended the event together with Mandalay Region Chief Minister U Myo Aung and officials. During the ceremony, the Union Minister and the Chief Minister planted spalings in designated areas along with the attendees. They then gave instructions to give proper care to the spalings to secure thriving plantations. About 500 attendees joined the ceremony.
