








The Graduation Concert of the students of the National University of Arts and Culture (Mandalay) for 2021-2022 Academic Year was held in conjunction with the 16th Paintings and Sculptures Art Exhibition.
The Art Exhibition and Concert took place on Thursday at the National Theater in Mandalay.
Rector, National University of Art & Culture (Mandalay), Aung San Oo said "This art exhibition and performing arts ceremony took place for the new generation students those are interested in Myanmar traditional performing arts and those who have already completed their studies in various art subjects like music, dramatic Arts, Painting and Sculpture. In this graduation concert, not only the traditional performing arts of students but also the collaboration of modern and traditional performing arts have been staged."
123 students performed their creations in music, dramatic arts, movie and drama with the combination of modern and traditional.
Fourth Year Student, National University of Arts and Culture (Mandalay), Su Myat Noe San said "I studied dramatic arts at the National University of Arts and Culture (Mandalay) and I will show my creation of movie at the ceremony. I chose the story together with my teacher U Tin Hlaing. And made the audition for my movie. The movie is about the bad consequence of using drugs. "
Fourth Year Student, National University of Arts and Culture (Mandalay), Myo Min Khaing said "I studied music at the Music Department at the National University of Arts and Culture. My father loves arts and he plays Myanmar Traditional Orchestra (Saing Waing) for the livelihood. Out department will perform five programmes at the ceremony. Among them, I’m taking the role as the Leader of Myanmar Traditional Orchestra (Saing Waing)."
The National University of Arts and Culture (Mandalay) was opened on 5th November 2001. It has been 21-year the university has being taught Myanmar Traditional Performing Arts to the students until 2021-2022 Academic Year. There are 712 students for Bachelor of Art degree and 178 students for Master Bachelor of Art. So far, altogether 1,354 new generation artists have been produced by the National University of Arts and Culture (Mandalay).
