Grade-12 new curriculum: 10-day training for high school teachers in Yangon

Opening ceremony of the regional level basic education Grade-12 new curriculum training course for the 2023-2024 academic year was held at Dagon University. The ceremony were attended by 634 basic education high school teachers from Thingangyun district, Botahtaung district, Dagon Myothit district and about 403 teachers from private high schools in Yangon.

Su Su Khin, Deputy Director, said " The new curriculum courses were taught every year with 3 level such as primary level, middle level and high school level. This is the regional level basic education Grade-12 new curriculum training for high school teachers. Professors from various universities went to the training in Nay Pyi Taw before this course and now they’re going to share with basic education high school teachers. The new curriculum is student-centered learning. Due to the new curriculum, students will be able to learn 5 skills of the 21stcentury and to participate in group works and self–assessment."

The training course from the 15th to the 24thin 4 zonesof Yangon Region is set at the Yangon University, West Yangon University, East Yangon University and Dagon University.
