Goodwill Visit to India: Commander-in-Chief Arrives Back from India

Tatmadaw delegation led by Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing concluded a 9-day goodwill visit to India on Friday.

The delegation was seen off at the airport by Myanmar and Indian officials.

The delegation arrived back at Nay Pyi Taw International Airport and was welcomed back by Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Commander-in-Chief (Army) Vice-Senior General Soe Win and many other senior officials.

During the visit, the Senior General held talks with military and civilian leaders including Prime Minister and Chairman of National Security Council Narendra Damodardas Modi on promotion of relations and enhancement of cooperation between the two countries.

The delegation also observed development of industrial technologies and advancement of defence equipment production; visited training schools which provide training in the defence sector; and toured significant places and Buddhological sites in Varanasi and Gaya, according to the Office of the Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services.
