Gold Trading License: YGEA receives over 100 applicants

More than 100 gold traders have applied business licenses for gold trading and opening new gold shops by separating small, medium and large-sized enterprises, according to Yangon Region Gold Entrepreneurs Association (YGEA).

MyoMyint, Chairman, YGEA, said " It’s been 6 months since we have been issuing trading licenses for over 100 gold shops in 2022. YGEA is granting recommendation letters for those gold traders who are applying for a license by separating small, medium and large-sized enterprises. Upon applications, the YGEA will forward them to the Yangon City Development Committee, with its recommendation letter."

Purchasing gold from the official gold shops which have licenses can avoid the unnecessary problems and illicit trade. For the gold traders, having the official gold trading license can stabilize the gold market and can help them operate their businesses systematically.
