The terrorist insurgent groups under the name PDF have entered Madaya Township, Sintgu Township, and Thabeikkyin Township in Mandalay Region.

They have disrupted and blocked communication routes, detained travelers, extorted money, forcibly entered homes to seize public property, entered and burned down factories beneficial to the nation, illegally extracted and exploited national aboveground and underground natural resources for personal gain, used civilians' homes, factories, and buildings as fortified strongholds and temporary bases, set up checkpoints on major communication highways to extort money from local residents and travelers, and committed various other terrorist acts through multiple methods.

Therefore, in order to restore stability and the rule of law in these areas, the Tatmadaw columns conducted necessary preparations and carried out a Counter-Terrorism Operation. These Counter-Terrorism Operations were systematically executed.

With the assistance of military intelligence from displaced local residents, the Tatmadaw columns gradually advanced and conducted assaults to fully regain control. This led to the successful re-establishment of control over areas temporarily dominated by terrorist insurgent groups: the area around Thabeikkyin Township in Mandalay Region and its vicinity on July 23, 2025; the Pha-Yaung Taung mineral mining area in Madaya Township on August 24; the area around the Alpha cement factory on August 28; the Sedawgyi  Village and reservoir on November 7; and Sintgu Town and its surrounding areas on December 19.

Consequently, the terrorists' delusional military ambitions were completely shattered. The Tatmadaw columns continue to carry out necessary territorial security operations to ensure that no terrorists remain hiding or residing within the regained townships, to secure the socio-economic livelihoods of local residents, and to uphold the rule of law and regional stability.

The Tatmadaw columns advancing for territorial clearance from the Thabeikkyin side cleared and captured Waphutaung  Village in Thabeikkyin Township on October 11; Phawtaw Junction on October 13; Zayatkwin  Village on December 18; and subsequently, Leikkya  Village on December 22.

They continue to conduct clearance operations in the surrounding areas. Similarly, the Tatmadaw columns advancing from the Sintgu side conducted territorial clearance operations from Letpanhla  Village in Sintgu Township, reaching Kyitaukpauk  Village on December 28; Chaunggyi  Village in Thabeikkyin Township on December 29; and Leikkya Village on December 31,.

At Leikkya Village, the Tatmadaw columns joined forces, enabling the full reopening and control of the Mandalay-Madaya-Sintgu-Thabeikkyin communication route. Local residents and travelers can now use it safely and securely.

While striving diligently to ensure stability in the Mandalay-Madaya-Sintgu-Thabeikkyin area and the safe and secure travel of the public on communication routes, the Tatmadaw columns engaged in clashes with terrorist insurgents.

As a result, some officers and soldiers nobly sacrificed their lives for the State. During their security operations in these territories, as the Tatmadaw columns advanced along clearance routes, local villagers who had been unlawfully oppressed and tortured by NUG-backed PDF-labeled terrorists warmly welcomed the arriving Tatmadaw columns with overwhelming joy.

Men and women, young and old, were seen holding Eugenia sprigs and garlands, a heartwarming and delightful sight. The Tatmadaw columns will continue necessary territorial security operations to swiftly reopen the Thabeikkyin-Mogok communication route.

This is to ensure the security of socio-economic livelihoods for local residents around the Thabeikkyin-Mogok area, facilitate smooth and efficient trade, and enable systematic management of aboveground and underground natural resources beneficial to national economic development.
