Friendly Relations : Meeting with the Chair of Belarus’ Belaya Rus Party

Pyithu Hluttaw Speaker U Khin Yi met with a delegation led by Ms. Olga Chemodanova, Chair of Belarus’ Belaya Rus Party, at the Pyithu Hluttaw building in Nay Pyi Taw on Friday.

U Khin Yi explained the structure and functions of the Pyithu Hluttaw, its committees and the election of representatives. He also explained the Hluttaw's process to address local development and public needs through questions and proposals raised by representatives.

The discussion also covered cooperation and friendly relations between Myanmar and Belarus, as well as cooperation through the ASEAN Inter-Parliamentary Assembly (AIPA) and the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU). Ms. Olga Chemodanova said Belarus is a trusted friend of Myanmar and that her party would work to further strengthen friendship and cooperation between the two countries.
