The internationally acclaimed French actor, Alain Delon, has died at age 88. He was scouted in the southern city of Cannes, which is known for its International Film Festival, and became an actor.
He starred in many films in the 1960s and 1970s, and also performed in TV dramas and on stage. Delon's last major public appearance was to receive an honorary Palme d'Or at the Cannes film festival in May 2019.French President Emmanuel Macron paid tribute to Delon on Sunday, calling him a "French monument."
