Thai Prime Minister and Interior Minister Anutin Charnvirakul instructed officials nationwide to maintain high-level vigilance in high-risk zones, emphasizing early warnings, shelter management, and post-flood recovery, despite improving conditions in several areas.

Flooding currently persists across 30 provinces, including Bangkok, affecting over 3.3 million people and causing 24 fatalities. The government also launched a nationwide disaster insurance scheme covering around 30 million households against floods, storms, and earthquakes, effective Oct. 1. Events prior to Oct. 1 will be compensated under existing legal budgets.
