The ceremonies to hoist and salute the national flag to mark the 74th Independence Day were held in Nay Pyi Taw in the morning on 4th January, 2022. The events took place in front of Nay Pyi Taw City Hall in line with the rules and guidelines of COVID-19 preventive measures. The flag hoisting platoon raised the national flag at 4:20 am, along with the ethnic races.
At 6:30 am, the Guard of Honour also saluted the nation’s martyrs and fallen soldiers and took the four point oath.
The Vice Senior General read a message sent by Chairman of State Administration Council Prime Minister Commander In Chief of Defense Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing for the 74th Anniversary Independence Day.
Vice Chairman of State Administration Council Deputy Prime Minister Deputy Commander In Chief of Defense Services Vice Senior General Soe Win in his capacity as chairman of Central Committee on the 74th Independence Day celebrations, accepted the salute of the Guard of Honour and concluded the ceremony.
