Fisheries Inspection Aid: 2 inshore fisheries inspection vessels handed over

The Denmark-Myanmar project handed over two inshore fisheries inspection vessels.

During the hand-over ceremony at the port of Pyae Phyo Tun International Co Ltd in Myeik Township of Tanintharyi Region on Monday, Deputy Minister for Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation Dr. Aung Gyi stressed that the ministry is paying special attention to the development of the fishery sector along with the development of agriculture and livestock to preserve the marine ecosystem.

Fish resource conservation work along Myanmar’s coast is under implementation in cooperation with the local people and with the help of partner countries, he added.

And, the deputy minister, the regional minister for economic affairs and officials ceremonially opened the hand-over ceremony before inspecting the trial run of the two inshore fisheries inspection vessels.
