The cast and directors of the first pan-African Disney+ animation series Iwájú attended its premiere in Nigeria's Lagos on Tuesday.
Ziki Nelson, Creator, Co-founder of Kugali said "It's very special to me because the inspiration for this story is Lagos, Nigeria. As a storyteller, I always wanted to tell a story that captured the spirit of my hometown. So to be premiering it here is monument us. "It is the first of its kind. It is the first animated TV series that is unapologetically Nigerian, unapologetically Lagosian and we're bringing something new to the table that people have never seen before." Iwájú is Disney Animation's first co-production with an outside studio since its inception more than 100 years ago.
