The International Organisation for Mediation (IOMed) hosted its first Global Mediation Summit in Hong Kong on Friday, in establishing the city as a premier international legal and dispute resolution center. Moreover, the summit attracted over 1,000 delegates from 60 countries and regions to discuss international mediation and the rule of law.

At the summit, Chief Executive John Lee emphasized that China supports Hong Kong’s development as a global mediation center, particularly for handling international, investor-state, and state-to-state disputes. The event also featured speeches from Hong Kong officials and international experts, including IOMed Secretary-General Teresa Cheng.
