Sam Mendes' "1917" won best film and best director at the British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) awards at a star-studded ceremony on Sunday. The immersive World War One drama was also honored in the outstanding British film, sound, production design, cinematography and special visual effects categories. Dark origins story "Joker" won three awards while Renee Zellweger picked up the lead actress award for in "Judy" movie.

Brad Pitt scooped the award for best supporting actor in "One Upon a Time in Hollywood" movie, and Laura Dern won best supporting actress in "Marriage Story" movie. "Parasite" won best film not in the English language. Meanwhile, Netflix's animated holiday movie "Klaus" won best animated film.
