Factory Inspection: SG Inspects Tatmadaw Textile Factory (Meiktila)

Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing on Tuesday afternoon inspected the Tatmadaw Textile Factory (Meiktila) in Meiktila of Mandalay Region.

There, the Senior General heard reports on production of quality sarongs, sale of school uniforms at fair prices, the undertaking of agriculture and livestock farms for staff welfare, and sale of costumes of ethnic national races and rural people at fair prices.

In his response, the Senior General pledged to add more staff for operating the factory at full capacity. More buildings will be constructed for staff. Efforts must be made for meeting the target of production and manufacturing surplus products more than the demand of the Tatmadaw.

It is necessary to fulfill the needs of the staff. School uniforms must be produced to be sold at cheap prices for teachers and students. Priority must be given to the manufacturing of more quality textile products of the factory. Quality cotton strains must be imported to grow them through correct cultivation methods.

Necessary raw materials and machinery will be provided to the factory.

Also, the Senior General viewed the quality sarongs, costumes of national races and uniform textile displayed in the factory. He also fulfilled the needs of officials and presented cash awards to the staff.
