Euphrates flood deprives east Syria farmers from crops

Floodwaters from the Euphrates have submerged farms, homes and displacement tents in Syria’s Deir Ezzor and Raqqa provinces, after authorities warned of rising river levels following heavy rains and increased flows from neighbouring Türkiye. Authorities estimated about 5,000 dunams of land in Deir Ezzor flooded, as well as about 1,500 dunams in the village of Al-Mahoukiya in Raqa.
