Ethnic Affairs & Vocational Training Center: MoEA Union Minister holds coordination meeting

Led by the Ministry of Ethnic Affairs, Shan State Ethnic Affairs and Vocational Training Center will be constructed in Ayethaya of Taunngyi Township, Shan State with the Mekong-Lancang Cooperation Special Fund.

A work coordination meeting on constructing this building was held at the Ministry of Ethnic Affairs on Wednesday. At the meeting, Union Minister for Ethnic Affairs U Saw Tun Aung Myint said that short-term vocational training courses will be conducted at the center and it is intended to be a community center where ethnic people can meet as well as hold meetings and events.

He expressed his belief that the training center will be implemented as soon as possible with full quality if the suggestions can be given from all sectors. Later, Deputy Minister U Zaw Aye Maung discussed land for "Shan State Ethnic Affairs and Vocational Training Center", efforts for obtaining grant and future plans. Officials also reported on measures for constructing the center.
