Ethnic Affairs: Meeting with literature and culture associations

The Ministry of Ethnic Affairs is implementing the tasks with a vision to strengthen genuine Union spirit and improve the socioeconomic life of ethnic groups by protecting of ethnic rights and preserving their literature and culture.

On Saturday, Union Minister U Than Maung met with Ethnic Literature and Culture Associations within the Shan State in Taunggyi.

During the meeting, the Union Minister explained the efforts for appointment of more teachers assistant for ethnic language in cooperation with the Ministry of Education. The Ethnic Literature and Culture Associations representing Shan, Pa-O, Danu, Taung Yoe, Intha, Kachin, Lisu, Kokang and Danau people attended the meeting.
