Ethnic Affairs : Meeting with Ethnic Literature and Culture Associations

Union Minister for Border Affairs and Ethnic Affairs Lt-Gen Yar Pyae met with ethnic literature and culture associations in Nay Pyi Taw Council Area on Friday. During the meeting, the Union Minister emphasized the importance of unity among ethnic groups for stability and development of the nation.

He highlighted that strong economic development and cooperation among all ethnic communities will help support for national unity. He also discussed the need for ethnic associations to operate within the law, and ongoing coordination with relevant ministries for proper registration of these associations.

He also stressed the importance of producing high-quality export products, especially value-added agricultural goods. Deputy Minister U Zaw Aye Maung also made discussion and responded to the associations' reports on their activities. The Union Minister later provided cash assistance to help promote ethnic literature and culture.
