Eradication of Malaria Disease: MoH receives Malaria Control Specialist

Union Minister for Health Dr Thet Khaing Win received a delegation led by Malaria Control Specialist of Malaria Program Review Mission Dr. Sean Hewitt at the Ministry, Wednesday. On the occasion, the Union Minister said that Myanmar is systematically planning in order to achieve the goal of eradicating malaria disease by the year 2030. 

The tasks will be implemented by reviewing and suggestions on eradication of malaria disease in cooperation with the Ministry of Health and malaria specialists from local and abroad. Later, the foriegn malaria control specialist reported on findings on the evaluation of malaria disease eradication by making field trips to the townships of Yangon region as well as Shan, Mon and Kachin States and suggestions on which the Union Minister gave instructions and coordinated the needs.
