Environmental Management: Tanintharyi Region Government Holds Meeting

Tanintharyi Region’s Environmental Management Supervising Committee held their 1st coordination meeting at the Regional Government Office in Dawei.

In his remarks, regarding environmental management, Chief Minister U Myat Ko stressed importance of cooperation of non-governmental organizations, private sector entrepreneurs and continuation of awareness programme among the public.

He also urged the committee members to implement the environmental conservation tasks for the country’s balanced economic and social development and environmental conservation. Attendees discussed awareness programmes for the public, implementation of environmental management tasks and plans.
