Environmental Conservation: 2025 Tree Planting Ceremony in Nay Pyi Taw

The Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs' 2025 Rainy Season Public Movement Tree Planting Ceremony was held on Friday within the precinct of the Wunna Theikdhi Sports Stadium in Nay Pyi Taw.

Union Minister Jeng Phang Naw Taung of the Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs and the Ministry of Hotels and Tourism, along with many other concerned officials and staff from both Ministries, collectively participated in and carried out the planting.

The Union Minister instructed the responsible officials and staff to work together to tend and care for the newly planted trees so that they may survive, flourish, and grow. In this ceremony, a total of 300 trees, consisting of Gangaw and Khaye trees in their assigned locations.

It is reported that the Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs organized the tree-planting ceremonies with the aim of conserving the natural environment and ecosystem, promoting greenery and a balanced/favorable climate, and mitigating water and soil depletion.
