Employer Awards: 3rd Edition Of Myanmar Employer Awarding Ceremony Held

The 3rd edition of Myanmar Employer Awarding Ceremony was held in Yangon on Saturday evening. 

The awards are aimed to recognize employer excellence in the country and lift best practice standards to support the growth of the nation, to create awareness among local and international employers, government bodies and the community as a whole- of the importance of people management through effective HR practices in recruiting, developing and retaining employees. The Myanmar Employer Award program is open for both local and international companies of different sizes operating in Myanmar.

Managing Director, JobNet.com.mm, Matt De Luca said “The vision of Myanmar Employer Award is to create a platform that encourages the development of better human resource best practices and the way does it by creating a healthy sense competition among companies. so, they can compete on who is best employer and so we believe that this way, it will stimulate raising the standard in employer best practices and the result that would be better workplace for everybody, automatically stronger companies and stronger economy as well.”

The winners were selected by 18 local and international judges based on the significance, innovation and creativity in HR practices. About 67 prizes were presented under the 14 categories including Overall Best of the Best, Best Use of Internal Marketing for Company Pride, Excellence in Workplace Environment, Most Innovation Use of Technology in HR, Best Cooperate Social Responsibility Engagement, HR Director of the Year and CEO of the Year. 

Winner, Hamdi Fikri Nordin (DKSH) said “We are feeling excited especially for this international marketing. This is the opportunity to lift up our decussation and motivate as well to move forward for next year. And this award basically goes to the all love our talents in decades and we think that the top management for supporting us, for our initiatives as well.”

Over 100 local and international organizations participated in this year’s contest. The awarding ceremony was crowded by over 500 top CEOs, MDs, HR leaders of the business community along with governmental officials.
