Emergency evacuation after heavy rains and severe flooding in Heilongjiang

Since Friday, heavy rains caused severe flooding in Yanshou County, Heilongjiang Province of the People’s Republic of China. Meanwhile, officials have turned schools in elevated areas into temporary shelters and are providing displaced individuals with basic food and accommodations.  For emergency evacuations, 2,039 were evacuated where some stayed with their relatives, while the rest sheltered at temporary evacuation centers.
