Elephant Buffets: Elephant Lovers Can Do Elephant Feeding In Person

ShweSettaw-Man River Elephant camp in Minbu (Sagu) Township, Magway Region has been closed temporarily due to COVID-19 pandemic and now, the camp has been reopened.

Elephant lovers from across the country can feed buffets to the elephants in the camp. In the past, the visitors fed the elephants while visiting there and during the closure of the elephant camp, elephant lovers provided foods online.

The buffet includes banana, pumpkin, watermelon, cucumber, mango, coconut and corn and seasonal crops. The donors will have to inform one day in advance if they want to do elephant feeding in person. They can also contact via phone call as well as the elephant camp’s page. There are 11 elephants in the camp and it costs 50,000, 70,000 and 100,000 kyats per meal for a day.
