Electrification Works: Power generation from Paunglaung dam and wier

From Paunglaung Dam and Wier on Paunglaung river in Zeyarthiri Township of Nay Pyi Taw Council Area, electricity is being generated with a capacity of 140 MW in Upper Paunglaung hydropower plant, 40 MW in Nancho Hydroelectric plant and 280 MW in lower hydropower plant.

And it is planned to generate 166 MW of electricity from the middle Paunglaung hydropower plant using Hydromatrix system in order not to waste the flow of water reducing environmental damage.

Likewise, efforts are being made for continuous transmission of electricity to supply the people’s consumption of electricity with full of volt and to reduce electricity outages.
