Electrification: Mini Grid Project Set For Ayeyawaddy Region

Department of Rural Development reported that works are underway for more electricity access in Ayeyawaddy Region and Shan State with the use of 4.3 billion Kyats. The project in Ayeyawaddy Region for 2,500 houses will begin in the coming week.

It’s reported the project in Ayeyawaddy Region is a mini grid. The Department of Rural Development (DRD), under the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation, is the government body which takes responsible for formulation and implementation of rural development works across the country. The Department has been working to improve socio-economic life of rural populace through undertaking sustainable rural development measures.
