Electricity Tower detonated : Terrorists detonated Electricity Tower No. 338

The terrorist insurgents So-Called PDF and certain EAO groups are attacking and destroying, through various means, the electricity sector and other projects being undertaken for national development.

In this regard, on July 19 at approximately 7:30 PM, terrorist insurgents So-Called PDF reportedly planted and detonated a mine at Tower No. 338 of the 132 kV main power line near Paung Laung Kan Village in Pakokku Township. As a result of the mine attack, power lines supplying electricity to the townships of Pakokku, Yesagyo, Myaing, and Kamma were cut off.

Due to the destruction of this power line, the stability of the 132 kV power supply network system within Magway Region was also affected, causing voltage drops and intermittent power outages in other townships and villages across Magway Region as well. Personnel from the Township Electricity Engineering Office, along with responsible officials and security teams, have proceeded to the site of the damaged Tower No. 338 and are working to carry out repairs as quickly as possible, it’s reported.
