Electricity Generation : Ongoing and operational solar power plants

Chairman of Electricity and Energy Development Commission, Union Minister at the President's Office (1) U Tin Aung San visited ongoing and operational solar power plants.

The Union Minister visited the 30 megawatt solar power energy project by Shwe Myoh Energy Engineering Co., Ltd, and heard reports on work progress. He instructed for timely completion of the project and viewed the installation of solar panel and solar tracker, chosen site for control room, weather station, battery energy storage system, and work implementation.

He also instructed for creating job opportunities for local residents, ensuring worksite safety in line with the Standard Operating Procedures and Safety Regulation. They then proceeded to the 30 megawatt solar-powered power plant in Thazi, and heard reports on work undertakings.

The Union Minister instructed to continue implementation of the new projects to meet the electricity demand of the nation. The Union Minister later inspected the extended construction of 40 megawatt Thapyaywa project. The three solar power plants from Thazi and Thapyaywa is currently transporting 90 megawatt electricity. Upon completion of new projects, it could send additional 110 megawatt.
