Electricity and Energy: Meeting On Yangon Region Works

Ministry of Electricity and Energy held a meeting on Yangon Region electricity and energy works. At the meeting in Yangon, Union Minister U Aung Than Oo heard reports on matters including works for re-operating the Thanlyin Oil Refinery, maintenance process and tank and pipe lines restoration.

In his response, the Union Minister called for efforts to produce enough oil for the country and to produce tar in cooperation with associations and organizations when the Thanlyin Oil Refinery re-operates. He also urged the attendees to maintain the ancient buildings in the Refinery compound.

The meeting continued with discussions on Thaketa port, buildings, store and dockyards maintenance and upgrade, corporate social responsibility process and fire safety.
