Election Observation : Meeting with Belarusian delegation

Union Election Commission (UEC) member U Aung Saw Win received a Belarusian delegation led by Belaya Rus Party Chairperson Ms. Vohla N. Chamadanova on January 22 in Yangon.

The UEC member cordially exchanged views on arrangements for the transparent and lawful conduct of the multiparty democracy general election Phases I and II, including the use of Myanmar electronic voting machines, advance voting, participation of international and local observers and media and preparations for the upcoming Phase III election.

The Belaya Rus chairperson congratulated Myanmar on the successful, free and fair conduct of Phases I and II election and welcomed the opportunity to observe upcoming Phase III. Then, Belarusian Ambassador to Myanmar Mr. Uladzimir Baravikou shared observations and reviews from Phase I, noting the elections were conducted transparently and in an orderly manner.
