Jasmine production in Egypt’s Nile Delta is falling as rising temperatures and humidity linked to climate change reduce flower yields, affecting a key supply source for the global perfume industry.

Farmers in Shubra Balula, a major jasmine-growing area north of Cairo, report smaller blossoms and lower daily harvests during hotter periods, while incomes are further pressured by low farm-gate prices.
