Efforts for Shan State: Development of border areas and human resources

Ministry of Border Affairs has been making efforts for development of border areas and human resources in Shan State as well.

On September 9, Union Minister for Border Affairs Lt-Gen Tun Tun Naung inspected the drinking water project in Kengtung Township completed in the 6-month period of the fiscal year of 2021/2022.

Also, the Union Minister inspected the lane maintenance works to PanMat Village from the Kengtung-Taunggyi Road, construction of buildings at the monastic education primary school in Mongpyin Township, repair of the 90 feet Bailey bridge over the SunTaung Creek on the Mongpyin-Mongsat Road and solar-powered irrigation project in HoCho Village.

He also inspected the domestic vocational training school for women in Kunhing Township and provided cash assistance.

On September 10, the Union Minister inspected solar-powered irrigation project in NaungNgin Village of Namsan Township, held talks with farmers and growers and provided sunflower seeds.

He also inspected construction works donated by fund of the Ministry in the Sasana Beikman compound in Loilem Township,  in the Zetawun Sasana Manaung Meditation Monastery in Panglong Township and in the Sunlun Meditation Monastery.

Also, the Union Minister inspected the training school for development nationalities youths from border areas in Panglong Township and provided uniforms, books, teaching aid and cash. He also inspected a site in Mongpon Township where a solar-powered irrigation project will be implemented. 

On September 11, the Union Minister visited the HtatEainGu Monastery in Nyaungshwe Township and donated rice and cooking oil.

There, he also donated books and uniforms for the monastery education students. And, the Union Minister inspected construction works in the monastery compound, enjoyed the Myanma Saing Waing performance staged by the students and presented cash awards.
