Efforts For Public Healthcare: Senior General Inspects New Maternity Ward in Magway

Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing on Wednesday afternoon inspected the new 3-storey Maternity Ward building at Magway People’s Hospital in Magway.

Union Minister for Health Dr. Thet Khaing Win reported on the new ward built by the Ministry of Health in cooperation with JICA with the assistance from the Japanese government and medical equipments to be installed at the ward. In his response, the Senior General stressed the Life Expectancy in Magway Region which is 65 years and that the new Maternity Ward will bring benefits as the infant mortality rate in Magway Region is high.

He called for efforts for effective public healthcare and hospitals upgrade. The Senior General also inspected the new Maternity Ward building and gave necessary instructions.
