Efforts for Market Stability: MRF offers high-grade rice with reasonable prices

Consumers can buy the high-grade rice with a reasonable price with the arrangements of Myanmar Rice Federation (MRF).

In cooperation with the Myanmar Rice Traders Association and Myanmar Rice Miller Association as well as the Rice Wholesale Centers at Wadan and Bayintnaung, MRF will offer high-grade rice including Shwebo Pawsan, Ayeyawady Pawsan and Kyapyan with reasonable prices to consumers starting 3rd August.

The price will stand at 35,000 kyat to 77,000 kyat according to the type of rice.

Chairman, MRF, Ye Min Aung said "In order to stabilize the domestic rice market, Myanmar Rice Federation is engaged with Rice Wholesale centers to offer high-grade rice with the reasonable prices to the consumers starting today. Shwebo Pawsan rice will cost 77,000 kyat per bag. And the price of Ayeyawady Pawsan at 52,000 kyat to 55,000 kyat per bag. We also collaborate with the Department of Consumer Affairs to be able to sell rice with reasonable prices at YCDC markets from August to October before rice harvest season."

Consumers can buy rice with reasonable prices from 9 am to 3 pm at Wadan Rice Wholesale Center. Sale volume is limited one bag of rice per household.
